Anything in usable condition goes to local donation partners first. Solid wood and metal frames are recycled, and only what is truly at the end of its life goes to the transfer station.

Good-condition furniture is dropped at local charities and reuse stores. Broken pieces are separated - wood, metal and upholstery each go to the right recycling stream - so as little as possible ends up in the landfill.
